A remarkable pair of wood carvings. Woodcarving as a traditional occupation in Switzerland and Austria for sculpture and decorations is an age-old occupation and some of the work is amazing. These are certainly top quality. The glass eyes give an extra "alive" touch.

The realistic delicate legs, the painstaking treatment of the hair/fur, the lifelike poses demonstrate a master sculptor. We bought these in the late 60s to early 70s.
