Large 7.5 inch Tall Antique Black Forest Hand Carved Seated Bear Glass Eyes
All photographs are part of the description. Here is a finely carved seated black bear measuring 7-1/2 inches tall, 4-1/4 inches wide and 5-1/2 inches deep. It is in excellent condition with one tight age separation on the bottom, and a chip off the bottom of one foot (both are in the same photo), there is also a tiny white spot on his hump, looks like paint, also pictured.
The details are so well done that there are spots that look just like fur. His mouth is open with teeth bared, and the pads on his paws are very well done.
No signature or maker's mark. Probably made in Switzerland, Austria or Germany, in the Black Forest region with the glass eyes indicating pre WWII vintage.
